Our aim, as a congregation of the Lord’s church, is enhanced by the world-wide commission given by Jesus. Just as Christ commanded that His disciples preach the gospel to every creature throughout the world (Mark 16:16), we as servants of the most high God, must take the gospel to our community and extend it as far as our faith can reach.

The Park Street congregation is RESOLVED to ………

Preach the gospel whenever and wherever it is expedient to do so. We must teach and encourage a lost world by the infallible word of God. Timothy was told to “Preach the word, be instant in season, out of season. Reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” (2 Timothy 4:2)

Let our light shine that we might glorify God; give direction to those in darkness and worship God in spirit and truth. (John 4:24)

Refute the teachings of man when they come into conflict with the word of God. We are confident that the Bible and the Bible alone can guide and direct us in all things pertaining to life and godliness. (2 Peter 1:3)

Educate our members in moral living, godly virtues and scriptural awareness through pulpit preaching, Bible class teaching, youth programs and proper examples. (Titus 2: 11-12)

Do what is within our guidelines to assist the physical needs of mankind; to work with those of our community when the cause can stimulate and encourage humanity.

These few words presented in this general form do not detail all the many ministries and concerns of the spiritual body. However, they serve to give a common cause for our existence as a people of God.

Our prayer is that YOU understand the crucial need to be a committed Christian.
